I absolutely loved the adventure of little Aya and her stuffed animal, Pete, in Paris. As a mom, this book is a fun helper in teaching children about other languages and parts of the world. The great writing and beautiful illustration kept the kids engaged. It was peppered with translation questions, and looking up the French vocabulary together was a great family activity. As a black family who enjoys travel and multicultural interactions, it was refreshing to see the main character was a black child excited to travel and learn more of other people and places in the world. Can’t wait for the rest....

We loved Aya and Pete!! My daughter especially loved learning about Paris and saying words in French. We are going to visit a French restaurant/bakery soon to find the foods from the book. My son loved Aya’a curly hair. What a sweet, informative, and engaging story! We need the tv show on deck! And toys - an Aya and Pete plush doll!!! Yes please!!! Not only is this a great incentive to travel, but REPRESENTATION MATTERS!!!! It is lovely to see diversity in children's literature. Buy this book for your family and give it as a gift!

Our toddler loves this book! The map of Paris is beautiful and we really like how they did the numbers in French. I highly recommend "The Amazing Adventures of Aya & Pete in Paris!" to anyone looking for a fun story to read to their children.
