Bark N Scratch Outpost is a trusted pet nutrition store proudly serving Milwaukee since 2006. The shop specializes in organic, holistic, natural, and raw foods and treats, offering a wide selection of high-quality supplies including kibbles, canned diets, and 19 freezers full of raw food. Deeply rooted in Wisconsin, Bark N Scratch is dedicated to providing affordable, healthy pet diets while giving back to the local community.
The store was founded because of one very special dog, Snowbelle Bagwell, a Bichon Frise who suffered from severe allergies. At just one year old, her future looked grim, but founder Carrie Marble refused to give up. After exploring countless diets, she discovered raw food, which gave Snowbelle a new lease on life. That experience sparked a passion to help others. Together with her husband Michael, Carrie opened Bark N Scratch to empower pet owners through nutrition. Today, the team continues that mission with compassion, expertise, and a strong belief in the power of real, wholesome food.

Love Bark N Scratch Outpost. They have everything you need to keep your dogs, cats and reptiles (recent addition) healthy and happy. Very wide selection of cat food (dry, wet, freeze dried, dehydrated) and all the toys and litter you may need. I have poked around in the dog section as well and it seems like a wide variety as well. When I just adopted my first cat, the staff was able to help me with all my questions and point me in the right directions. They always take great care of my and my cat and will do the same for your family. Highly recommend Bark N Scratch

I have been visiting Bark N Scratch Outpost for nearly 7 years now and it is my main pet supply store. The staff are always very friendly and highly knowledgeable, the product selection is large. I don't think I've experienced a visit where I didn't find what I was looking for. They participate in dog food buyer programs (at least for Fromm's, this depends on if your manufacturer offers one) which is great for a free large bag of dog food every 12 purchases. I highly recommend Bark N Scratch Outpost to friends and family, and believe any pet owner would find this store to be a great experience for just a single visit or making it their go-to store.
