My chi-poo is 10 pounds, so we went with the x small - and as you can see, it fits very well. I discovered since taking the photo that there is a Velcro enclosure in the front and under the belly, as well as an adjustable clip. The front enclosure makes it pretty tight under her chin and against her throat, so she prefers it loose. Otherwise she seems to be able to move well despite the rigid nature of the harness. I feel safer with her having it, especially at night, since our neighborhood is being stalked by two coyotes. It’s really great having a no-spike alternative since I often need to pick her up for one reason or another. The reflective stripe is a nice touch as well. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality and attractive aspect of this harness.

I needed a solution that would help protect my 14 lb Yorkie from aggressive dogs while on walks. A while back, I bought a Coyote Vest, but the problem with that was twofold. Walking my dog with the leash attached to the D-ring resulted in the vest sliding around my dog's body. Second, my dog loves people, but people he met on walks couldn't really pet him because of the spikes on the vest.Finally, I found Dog Armour Pro. What attracted me to this product was that the material used is the same material that is used to protect people who train police dogs. From the outset, this was a wonderful idea. I was also happy to know that your own harness can be used over the vest, or you can choose to use the D-ring on the vest. The elimination of spikes also solved my problem of not allowing people to pet my dog.I contacted the company via the chat box on their website to ask about sizing and one of the owners, Angel, responded right back! I was very surprised that an actual person was responding to me and not a chatbot. Angel was extremely helpful with assisting me to select a size for my dog. My dog was between sizes, so that's why I wasn't sure which size would be best for him.About a week later I received the vest. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the product and the level of craftsmanship. The material is light weight, high quality, the stitching and the Velcro are both strong. Due to another review I was worried that the Velcro would be weak, but Angel assured me that the vest was updated since that previous review and that the Velcro was much stronger, and he was right. The vest fits snug to my dog's body and would not get loose.There is no doubt that this vest would protect my dog from an attack. I hope I am never in this situation, but I feel much safer going for walks with my dog wearing this.I highly recommend this product for it's quality and for the the wonderful customer service that I received.
