Dog Savvy was founded by Colorado natives Dana Hood and Robb Horen in 2006. Having had great success with For the Love of Dog doggie daycare, they decided to venture into the boutique niche to provide customers with a warm and welcoming spot to shop for their pups. The goal in developing Dog Savvy was to provide the very best in products for the health and well-being of our customers beloved companions and a safe and stress-free grooming salon.
We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer service. Our staff is comprised of true animal lovers who are invested in getting to know you and your pet. The primary goal is to match you with the best possible product for your pet’s individual needs and to give them the best grooming experience imaginable. Cannot recommend Dog Savvy enough! This is our second time going this year & each visit our fur baby comes out looking adorable, smelling delicious and feeling happy :) The groomers and staff are amazing and they make you feel safe leaving your baby with them.

An amazing groomer and pet supply store. The staff are amazingly helpful and friendly, and they always charge a fair price to groom my cat Marlo. The environment reminds me of old larimer square, it Doesn't seem to have changed much from when I was little. Heavy old wooden displays with all sorts of products (as many locals brands as possible). Whether you're a Denver resident, looking for a place to get your cat or dog groomed for an affordable price by caring people. Or a visitor looking for A new treat for your good boy who's having a hard time with the cold son or air. Or you just want a souvenir for your fluffy boy back home after you're visit to Denver. You can't go wrong with this place.

Dog savvy has been my salvation since I moved to denver nine years ago. i’d never get my dogs groomed anywhere else! when my former dog passed, I could not have asked for more sincere or compassionate condolences from the owner, rob, and even my groomer came out to cry and hug me. every time I need to change or modify an appointment, they couldn’t be more helpful. I brought my next dog there (an anxious rescue dog) and he could not be more relaxed or handsome when I get him back! they also have collars and fun stuff you cannot find anywhere else… truly a unique store that cares about its customers! just got a new puppy and can’t wait to introduce him when he needs a cut! the owner rob even recommended a great vet to me when I first moved to town!
