About Us

Michael Sweigart, the inventor of FurZapper, was a stay-at-home dad with two dogs, a cat and a house full of pet fur. Michael, a born problem-solver, knew that there had to be a better way to share our homes with our pets without giving up cleanliness and comfort.

Michael developed a prototype with a silicone-based compound that is extremely adhesive, hoping that the fur, dander and lint would gravitate away from laundry and towards the product. He experimented by simply placing the product (subsequently named the FurZapper) in the washing machine along with clothing and bedding with pet fur and dander. When the cycle was complete, he had a load of clean, fur free laundry!

I have tried everything - finally, a product that works! Two indoor cats, two dogs, and two long-haired humans. Everything I wear, everything I sit on, every step I take is covered in pet hair. And the worst of everything is doing laundry and have it come out to the dryer covered in hair. I literally have to use a lint roller on everything out of the dryer before I put the clothes away. I am so excited to report - these work! The hair ends up in tight little balls in the washer and dryer. My black clothes come out to the dryer without being covered in hair! This is a game changer.

these little smiles will put a smile on your face! I use them in the washer then the dryer as well and the amount of dog hair that comes out of my clothes is amazing! I would suggest getting 4 so u can put 2 in wash and 2 in dryer. I have to wait between loads cause I only got 2. they work better than I over expected! they r easy to rinse off between loads and very durable. I've had them like a month now and don't know how I've lived without them before

This product did an excellent job of almost completely ridding my laundry of dog hair! Simple and easy-to-follow instructions. I highly recommend it!!
