Harkiss Designs
Harkiss Designs is more than just a Fair Trade jewelry and housewares company; it's a beacon of hope for artisans in Uganda and Kenya, empowering them to create stunning handcrafted products while improving their livelihoods. Founded by CEO Harriet Zaffoni, a native Ugandan, in 2011, Harkiss Designs collaborates directly with 11 East African artisans, who in turn employ hundreds of craftsmen and women. Each item, meticulously crafted in Uganda and Kenya, represents a blend of tradition and modernity, showcasing the skills passed down through generations.
Every purchase supports Lend A Hand Uganda – USA (LAHU-USA), an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of Ugandan children and communities. Moreover, Harkiss Designs is committed to sustainability, using Fairtrade-certified products and materials sourced locally, ensuring that each piece carries a positive impact on both communities and the environment. Let's work together to make a difference, one handcrafted piece at a time.
