How is this different from Faire?
Faire is wholesale with net-60 terms: you still buy the inventory, you just pay later. With inStorify you never buy it. You pay only after an item sells, and many products here aren't on Faire, Amazon, or Chewy at all. No contracts or subscriptions.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. inStorify works because brands want their products in great independent stores, and stores want fresh, curated items without spending hours sourcing. We connect the two, and only earn when you sell. There's just a $90 MSRP minimum per brand to start.
Who owns the inventory if something gets damaged or stolen?
We do. Damage and theft protection is included, and we handle return shipping with a prepaid label. In the NYC or SF areas our staff can even pick up in person. Your risk is shelf space, nothing else.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. inStorify is free to join for physical retailers, with free shipping both ways. You only pay the wholesale cost on items that actually sell, and keep the retail margin.
How do returns work?
We handle everything. You get a prepaid shipping label and UPS picks it up. In the NYC or SF areas, our staff can come to you. We cover the cost, no questions asked.
