Founded by rising designer Samuel Murkofsky, Manhattan Knights is a luxury sportswear brand & store that captures the essence of New York City while supporting local businesses. Our journey began with the “Cease and Desist” collection, printed in Harlem, and has since evolved into a brand that embodies the pride, connection, and resilience of being a true New Yorker. Samuel’s vision for Manhattan Knights was inspired by the unity and togetherness felt after 9/11, aiming to transcend divides of race, class, gender, and culture.

Drawing from his experiences growing up in New York and over a decade in luxury retail, Samuel creates genderless, versatile pieces with the high-end detail of designer collections. From prep school-inspired patterns to oversized hoodies and leather jackets, Manhattan Knights merges classic styles with a modern twist. We are located in the heart of Chinatown, New York, a vibrant neighborhood known for its diverse culture and eclectic mix of shops. Amidst the bustling markets and historic charm, our store provides a unique shopping experience and a prime location for brands to showcase their products.

Authentic NYC art, ready to wear, accessories, and sculpture. Modern take on iconic staples. Chic colors with modern tailoring upgrade MK’s classic street wear pieces from casual to sexy. The hardware touches on the hoodies are legit jewelry. The owner was super helpful about custom work for denim and also had vintage clothes and accessories that round out his own collection perfectly. Local jewelry designer hosted by MKs has intricate earrings and chains with GORGEOUS natural gems and stones. Sales are frequent and online purchases are also available, making it easy to try on in store and purchase anytime. 126 Madison was much needed style source on this block of only bars and eateries.

OMG, this store is amazing! Really cute finds for streetwear. Edgy and humorous. And such a sweetheart owner. Sam rocks! And should I mention the jewelry by local artisan, Hadassah Diaz.

Chinatown

Vibrant Chinatown is a densely populated neighborhood that draws foodies and tourists to its many Chinese and Southeast Asian restaurants for dumplings, pork buns and hand-pulled noodles. The busy sidewalks are packed with souvenir stores, bubble tea shops, and markets selling everything from fresh and dried fish to herbs and spices. Locals hang out in leafy Columbus Park for Tai Chi, chess and mahjong.
