About Us
Lee De Barriault, the store owner, has always been an animal lover. She grew up in the northeast on a ranch with horses, dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits. When Lee moved to New York City and had health issues, she turned to a nutritionist/kinesiologist, who put her on the path to good health. After seeing what good nutrition and herbal medicines did for her, Lee began her quest to learn as much as she could about alternative medicine.
She has studied holistic medicine for pets for 6 years and has devoted her time to helping educate people about nutrition and natural supplements so they can help keep their pets healthy. Her search for knowledge has continued and enabled her to offer the best possible holistic care, homeopathics and nutrition for our beloved animals. Lee has worked with the feral cat network and other rescue groups and is passionate about helping animals in need.

Without question, the most helpful and supportive people on listening and answering any questions you may have. They will point you in the right direction and share their first hand knowledge and experience with any and all products they sell. I can’t say enough about how much my wife and I appreciate the wonderful people who work here.

Short review: I'm impressed at how these ladies are incredibly knowledgeable of REAL animal nutrition. 1000% trust them. Long review: As a health conscious soul myself, these ladies are exceptionally knowledgeable on the health needs of our furry family members. I recently moved back into the area after a long 14 years in Orlando and no store in the bigger city is even comparable to Natural Pet Specialty Shop. Honestly, they should open a location over there, for real. I got close to a different pet store owner over in Orlando but over covid they had to close their store front and take up business to online orders only. Anyhow, as a life long kitty owner that's learned a lot over the many years of being a cat caretaker, these ladies know their stuff. I'm so grateful they've offered their services in this area, it was such a pleasant surprise to find this store in a "smaller" town.

We love this little shop. We travel to FL about every year to visit family. We always travel with our dogs and we always try to find little things to do with them while we're out and about. I found this shop several years ago when they were at their old location and we make it a point to stop in whenever we're in town. I love the selection of natural treats as well as the selection of raw foods! We have a few boutique pet stores in Columbus but nothing this good. They also have a huge selection of supplements for dogs and cats. I actually bought something recommended by another pet owner this last visit. It's the Cataractin to help with eye sight. I do think it helped with my 13 year old Dachshund's cloudy lenses. She doesn't have cataracts, just old lady lenses but I see significantly less clouding since starting it back in December. So, if you're in the market for improving your Pet's health through nutrition (and you should be) I whole heartedly recommend this shop!
